More Flu Deaths Reported in North Texas

DALLAS  (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas County reported two more flu deaths Friday afternoon, bringing the total to 62 this for the 2017-2018 flu season.

Close to 100 people died from the virus across the Metroplex.

Dallas County Health and Human Services said it’s not too late for North Texans to get a flu shot.

The department recently announced free mobile immunizations clinics will travel throughout Dallas, Cedar Hill, Cockrell Hill and Desoto and provide free flu vaccines to adults.

The Center for Disease Control reports that the number of flue cases nationwide rose again last week.

The number of people hospitalized from the flu spiked to almost 60 out of every 100,000 across the country.

The CDC said it appears that flu season still hasn’t peaked.
