
Tarrant County, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – The capital murder trial of a 24-year old Arlington man is underway in Tarrant County.
Joshua Beard is accused in the brutal killing of an 18-month old girl.
According to the 2014 arrest warrant, Beard’s then 7-year old girlfriend, Alexis Botello told police, in July 2014 that they were at home at an Arlington apartment complex when Beard began pushing and yelling at her baby, Tylea Moore.
She said that despite her screams for him to stop, Tylea as left with bruises and bite marks all over her body, and that he stomped on the baby’s stomach when she fell to the floor, after being thrown forcefully onto a bed.
The arrest affidavit says that after the baby stopped breathing and died, Beard put her body in to the trunk of his car and drove to Parker County to bury her.
Botello told police that they stopped at a Walmart and bought two shovels.
She is charged with tampering with evidence.
The fact that the baby was missing after a series of inquiries from Botello’s mother as to her whereabouts.
