Roy Oliver Could Face Charges in Alleged Road Rage Incident

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas County District Attorney’s Office is considering pursuing additional charges against former Balch Springs Police Officer Roy Oliver.

Oliver was convicted of Murder Tuesday in the shooting death of 15-year-old Jordan Edwards. He was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in prison. Oliver’s accused of pulling a gun on two women when he was off duty after a car accident two weeks before Edwards was murdered. Ashley Cuevas testified about the crash during the murder trial.

“Never in my life have I seen anybody jump out of a truck that quickly,” said Cuevas. “He looked really angry.”

Oliver said he never pointed the gun at the women. Dallas County Prosecutor Mike Snipes said Wednesday that the District Attorney’s Office is considering pursuing charges.
“I’ll talk to my boss about and I’ll talk to the victims,” Snipes said. “We’ll make a decision about it down the road.”
