USPS Dallas District Holding Passport Fairs Throughout September

DALLAS  (WBAP/KLIF News) – If you’re looking to get or renew your passport, the United States Postal Service is hosting fairs all month to make it easier to do so.

Albert Ruiz is with USPS and is encouraging anyone who needs a passport to attend.

He said it’s very convenient.

“We do them on Saturdays because most folks are going to be off on the weekend. We just want to make sure they’re prepared especially with all the requirements for travel,” he said.

Applicants will need to bring proof of American citizenship, a photo i.d. and fill out an application.

“Appointments are not required but we do encourage applicants to come on in early because we do serve on a first come first serve basis,” he said.

The costs of the passport applications vary.

An adult application costs $110 and children under 16 costs $80. Each one is charged an additional $35 execution fee.

The fairs are being held in Rockwall, Carrollton, Garland, Rowlett and Ennis.
