DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The number of COVID-19 cases in Collin County rose over the weekend. In a press release, Media Relations Director, Steve Stoler confirms Collin County Health Care Services (CCHCS) reports 14 new COVID-19 cases in Collin County, including four in Plano. The total number of positive cases in Collin County is 901, including 266 in Plano. The County has 287 active cases, including 87 in Plano.
The press release included information about the four new cases in Plano. Two were between the age of 30 to 39 and two were between the age of 40 to 49; three women and one man. The four new cases were reported in three zip codes: 75024, 75025, and 75074. Per Mr. Stoler, the zip code of a case reported on 5/7/20 is still TBD.
According to the press release 11,247 people have been tested for the virus in Collin County. 10,312 tested negative. 901 tested positive. 34 tests are pending.
