DENTON (WBAP/KLIF) – It was easy street for the long term incumbents.
Republican congressman Michael Burgess easily holding on to his seat(26th district) in the U.S. House of Representatives. A seat he’s had since replacing former Majority Leader Dick Army in 2003.
On the State Level, Republican senator Jane Nelson easily beat out her opponent and will hold on to her seat in the chamber she’s been a part of since the 1990’s.
