TARRANT COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF)- Tarrant County will receive a $1,830,379.28 federal grant for emergency protective measures to purchase COVID-19 personal protective equipment (PPE) and materials for first responders and public health staff, U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) announced today. The funding comes through FEMA under authority of Section 403 of the Robert T. Stafford Act.
“We can’t allow our nurses, doctors, and first responders to go without critical safety supplies while they fight to protect the rest of us from COVID-19,” said Sen. Cornyn. “I’m thankful for all of our health care heroes in Tarrant County and I hope this funding provides them with the additional personal protective equipment and materials they need to stay safe while fighting the pandemic.”
