Washington (WBAP/KLIF) – Washington (WBAP/KLIF) – As coronavirus cases and hospitalizations continue to increase in Texas, Dr. Deborah Birx of the White House Coronavirus Task Force is sounding the alarm on the increasing COVID stats in Texas, telling our media partner that Texans need to change their behavior to help stop the spread of the virus.

“Texans right now have to change their behavior. We have to stop the spread within Texas. You can see what’s happening in Dallas. You can see what’s happening across Texas.”

Birx added, “I know it’s tough in the holiday season, we are asking people to make sacrifices, we are asking you to make sacrifices until we can get your beloved grandparents, aunts, and parents vaccinated.”

Birx also said that while new vaccines are promising, it’s still months before they reach the overall population, and that it’s still not know how effective the vaccine is of those under 18. She urged Texans to make some sacrifices through the holiday season.
