Dallas/Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – The School Boards in Dallas and Fort Worth each took steps Thursday night opposing Governor Abbott’s executive order that bans local officials from instituting mask mandates.
The Dallas ISD Board of Trustees decided to join an existing multi-district lawsuit challenging the Governor’s order.
Fort Worth’s School Board formally adopted a mask mandate, but ongoing legal battles mean it’s unclear when it can go into effect. For the moment Fort Worth schools will continue to operate without mask requirements.
