Princeton ISD’s Smith Elementary to Close for 1 Week Due to COVID-19 Outbreak

PRINCETON (WBAP/KLIF News) – A COVID-19 outbreak at Smith Elementary School in Princeton ISD prompted officials to close the campus for a week in an effort to curb the spread.

According to the Collin County district’s COVID-19 dashboard, there are 125 active cases among students and 16 among staff at all campuses as of Tuesday morning.

Smith Elementary has 50 active cases, that’s the most out of all of the other campuses. Princeton High School came in second with 44 cases.

Smith Elementary will reopen Tuesday, September 7th after the campus undergoes a deep cleaning.
