Employment Recovery Continues in Texas

(WBAP/KLIF) — Texas continues to show improvements in the job market. The recovery from the coronavirus pandemic moves ahead in Texas, as the TWC released numbers showing an increase of nearly 96,000 jobs.

Texas has created jobs in 16 out of 17 straight months. According to Texas Workforce Commission Chairman Bryan Daniel the improvement continues a trend Texas has experienced over the last six months. In all Texas businesses have created nearly 712,000 jobs since September of 2020. Daniel also said that statewide businesses continue to create jobs which provides career opportunities for Texans.

The state unemployment rate dropped to 5.6% last month, a decrease of 0.3%
