Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – A planned critical race theory protest and counter-rally are slated ahead of a Fort Worth ISD board meeting today.
The events comes on the heels of Thursday’s board meeting where one resident directed his comments on the issue to some in the crowd who are opposed to CRT.
Malik Austin, who has been identified as a former member of the Brotherhood Movement, called out the oppression that he says his parents and grandparents endured:
“How dare you come off in here and challenge me on critical race theory,” Austin said. “Look at the word racism — this is something deliberately done to people of African descent, to shackle us down. This hate, fear, money ain’t gonna work no more.”
Austin’s time at the podium ran out, and his mic was muted, but those in the room heard him say, “I got over 1,000 soldiers ready to go. “Officers escorted him out of the room.
One resident present at the meeting has filed an FBI complaint against Austin, according to the Fort Worth Star Telegram.
