Coppell (WBAP/KLIF) – A 22 year old college student who was hired as a dog sitter is now suing the Coppell couple who hired her. Jacqueline Durand’s lawsuit says she was attacked by Ashley and Justin Bishop’s dogs as soon as she opened the door of their home to care for them. Coppell Police reports say Durand was torn to pieces, suffering between 800 and 1,000 bites. The reports also say the dogs tore off most of her face below her eyes. No comment from the Bishops, yet, but Coppell Police note there is a warning sign posted outside their home that reads “CRAZY DOGS,” and warns visitors to call or text instead of ringing the doorbell. Durand’s lawsuit requests a jury trial to determine damages.
