Fort Worth Woman Sparks Nationwide Racist Callout

FORT WORTH – (WBAP/KLIF) – It took a tweet from a Fort Worth woman calling out racism in Utah to make the story go viral. The story began at a women’s volleyball game between Brigham Young and Duke Universities.

Bystanders reported a 19 year old Black female volleyball player was the target of a loud racist slur every time she served. Police say the white male suspect in the stands upped the ante, by warning player Rachel Robinson, to watch her back as she would make her way to the team bus after the game. A police officer was called in to sit by the team’s bench.

The Fort Worth woman calling out the threats, Lesa Pamplin, is running in Tarrant County for the Circuit Court Judge’s number five position. That woman is reported to be the Godmother of the victim Rachel.

No word on possible arrest or charges facing the suspect in question. Both universities have called out the racist behavior affecting the students and game attendees.
