WATCH: New Video Shows Good Samaritan Chase Down Man Who Ran After Killing Euless Police Officer in Drunk Driving Crash

LAKE WORTH(WBAP/KLIF News ) – The Lake Worth Police Department has released video from the scene of a drunk driving crash that claimed the life of Euless Police Detective Alex Cervantes and critically injured his wife and two children in November of 2021.

The video shows a bystander chasing after the driver, Dylan Molina, before pinning him down to the ground after he tried to run away.

“You killed somebody…stay right there…you see what you did,” said the Good Samaritan.

Other bystanders are seen trying to help Det. Cervantes and his family.

On January 30, 2023 , Molina pleaded guilty to intoxication manslaughter and three charges of intoxication assault.

He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

During the investigation, it was revealed that on November 27, 2021, the then 27-year-old Molina drank eight double vodka cocktails within three hours at the Fuzzy’s Taco’s.

Lake Worth Police said his blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit.

26-year-old Cala Richardson, the bartender at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop in Lake Worth, was charged with one count of sale to certain persons, a class A misdemeanor, for allegedly over serving Molina.

The charge carries up to one year in jail and a $4,000 fine.

Lake Worth police also released surveillance video from inside Fuzzy’s Taco Shop that shows Molina stumbling around the bar prior to the crash.
