Deep Ellum, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – The family of the innocent bystander fatally shot the Bitter End bar in Deep Ellum in the early morning hours of March 15 is speaking out.

30-year Danielle Jones of Houston was inside the bar when a stray bullet took her life as a masked gunman targeted a man who was on the patio. According to Dallas Police, the incident began with a dispute at the bar.

Jones’ sister Sierra told our media parter WFAA-TV that her sister had traveled to DFW during Spring Break with her 8-year old son, Davon, for a fun outing at Six Flags in Arlington.

She says she doesn’t know how the family will go on without her. She also says that her young nephew knows that his mother “is in heaven.”

As of this morning, the family had raised over $14,000 for funeral expenses from a GoFundMe campaign.

Meantime, the gunman who according to Dallas Police also killed his intended target, 37-year-old Rickey Gossett, is still at-large. A 3rd person was wounded.
