Rashee Rice Game Suspension After Injurious Dallas Crash

DALLAS – (WBAP/KLIF) – The Kansas City Chief’s Rashee Rice is now suspended for six games, for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

A Dallas Police Department crash report found Rice was driving a Lamborghini SUV as fast as 119 miles an hour on the main Dallas North-South Highway 75 route in March of 2024; seconds before triggering a collision of six vehicles, injuring four people. Teddy Knox, an SMU football player and Rice’s former teammate in college, was reported driving a Corvette 116 miles an hour before the crash occurred.

Rice faced one count of aggravated assault, another count of collision involving serious bodily injury, and six counts of collision involving injury. Rice turned himself into police and was released on bond. In July, he was sentenced to 30 days in jail, and 5 years probation.

The Chiefs selected Rice in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Rice led with seven receiving touchdowns in 2023, picking up 938 yards on 79 receptions. Rice went on to catch six passes for 39 yards in Kansas City’s Super Bowl LVIII win over the San Francisco 49ers.
