(WBAP/KLIF) – DALLAS, TX – AT&T recently toured office spaces north of Dallas, including a 1.8 million-square-foot site at the Park At Legacy site in Plano, which also serves as JCPenney’s headquarters. The company has been headquartered in Whitacre tower in Downtown Dallas since 2008, when it relocated to North Texas from San Antonio.
The City of Dallas stated that they are working to keep the telecom giant headquartered in Dallas on a long term basis. A recent study found that property values downtown would decrease by 30% if AT&T left the neighborhood, which could potentially lead to a $62 million dollar loss in annual property tax revenue.
