There was a recent conference in Washington under the theme “National Conservatism.”
For the record, there is no such thing as national conservatism, especially in the United States. Doing a once-over of its agenda and the speakers, it quickly became clear the conference was nothing more than a vain attempt to gussy-up neoconservatism.
They take as their inspiration British politician Edmund Burke, which makes sense.
