Rep. Zach Nunn said on Newsmax’s “Wake Up America” on Wednesday that President Donald Trump heads into his upcoming meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping with unparalleled momentum and leverage on the global stage.
The Iowa Republican, who sits on the House Agriculture Committee, framed the meeting, scheduled for Thursday in Busan, South Korea, as a critical moment for U.S. trade and national security.
“President Trump is walking in the door coming off just a heater when it comes to international trade, bringing in our allies, hundreds of billions of dollars in export opportunities for everybody from Iowa ag farmers, like in my state, as well as the ability to onshore more here in the United States,” he said.
