The suspect behind the mass shooting at Brown University, which killed two people and injured nine others, was found dead Thursday night from what police described as a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
“Tonight our Providence neighbors can finally breathe a little easier,” Providence, Rhode Island, Mayor Brett Smiley said during a news conference that aired live on Newsmax and the Newsmax2 free online streaming platform.
“I want to thank the people of Providence for stepping up and coming together during an extraordinarily difficult time. I know this has been hard on all of us.”
