Remnants of Super Typhoon Nuri have been caught up into the polar jet stream and turned into a powerful surface storm system that sweep across Canada Sunday and Monday, flooding everything from the Rockies eastward with exceptionally cold temperatures for this time of year (15-30 degrees below normal).
DFW will experience strong south winds ahead of the system Monday (77), followed by strong north winds Tuesday (53). Prepare for blustery, chilly conditions at any outdoor event honoring veterans Tuesday.
Highs Wednesday and Thursday may not get out of the 40’s.
A widespread freeze is possible Friday morning, roughly one week ahead of our average first freeze.
