DALLAS (WBAP 24/7 NEWS) – There are plenty of North Texas families needing help putting presents under the Christmas tree this year.
The Salvation Army's Major Ward Matthews says you can help by adopting a child from one of several Salvation Army Angel Trees will help those that really need it.
"Because every parent is going to make sure there's something under the tree, sometimes the parents in need spend the money they need to use for utilities or rent payments."
He says there's been a drop in the number of homelessness among families after Christmas since the Angel Tree program started.
