NATIONAL (WBAP/KLIF 24/7 NEWS) There were two emergency landings last night involving planes going to and from Texas. The first involved an American Airlines regional jet that landed in Tulsa after the pilot smelled fumes in the cockpit.
Passengers were let off the plane on a taxiway and taken to the terminal by shuttle. No injuries were reported.
A US Airways jet landed at Bush Intercontinental in Houston with a nose gear that was stuck in the up position. The plane skidded to a stop and the passengers exited using emergency slides.
No one was reported injured after the evacuation of the US Airways jet and the NTSB is investigating the emergency landing.
