One Race Still Hasn’t Been Decided

BILL WAYBOURNTARRANT COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Tarrant County Sheriff’s race is headed for a runoff.

Neither of the top two candidates received 50% plus one vote. Challenger Bill Waybourn says he’s the man for the job because under Sheriff Dee Anderson, the department is suffering from low morale.

“He has the second highest turnover rate for any agency of his size. We think we can go in and turn around those things by creating good internal standards and good internal relationships, as well as those external relationships.”

The runoff will happen in May.
