Palo Pinto Inmate Recaptured

MINERAL WELLS (WBAP/KLIF) – An inmate who escaped from the Palo Pinto county jail is back in custody.

44-year-old Kevin Wayne Lee walked away from the lockup Saturday afternoon.

He was caught late Monday night in a wooded area near the old Miller Stadium in Minerals Wells. Drones and dogs were used to help track his location.

Lee was being held on a variety of charges, including assault on a public servant. Now, escape will be added.

An investigation continues into how the inmate was able to get free.
