Parkland Hospital Launches Strategic Plan for Future

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Parkland Hospital has launched a first-ever Strategic Plan for its future. The plan starts next year and runs through 2020.

The facility will introduce the plan to its healthcare workers and other employees in the coming days.

“We are actually having a series of town halls where executive leaders, including myself, are meeting with our employees face to face and presenting the plan to them,” said Dr. Esmaeil Porsa with Parkland.

The plan focuses on five areas including patient and employee relationship, opportunists for teaching, clinical care improvements, strengthening Parkland’s value in the community and achieving exemplary outcomes to patients.

“This is a new era in Parkland Hospital’s history,” said Dr. Porsa. “We are welcoming the arrival of the new hospital with our new care model and new initiatives.”

Announcing the plan now gives leaders at Parkland a head start since the plan begins in 2017.

The plan is available to the public at www.parklandhospital.com/Parkland2020.
