DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) A longtime Dallas teacher is going to jail for hiding money, according to the Dallas Morning News. Linda Fantroy, on leave from her job at Comstock Middle School, was sentenced yesterday to 18 months in federal prison. She’s charged for failing to report $580k in income. Fantroy is a niece of deceased Dallas City Council member James Fantroy. Prosecutors say she spent some of the money on the purchase of seven houses that she rented to low-income families as part of the federal housing choice voucher program. The IRS took ownership of those homes. Fantroy only earned about $74k a year working in the district. No word yet on how she earned hundreds of thousands of dollars.
