Teenager Arrested After Deadly Chain Reaction Crash

GARLAND MUG SHOTGARLAND (WBAP/KLIF) – Garland police have found the driver of a Ford Mustang that caused a deadly chain reaction crash Wednesday night. Lieutenant Pedro Barineau says the car was driven by a teenager.

“The driver of the Ford Mustang has been identified as Adalberto Rivera and he is 17 years old,” said Lieutenant Barineau.

Barineau says it is possible Rivera was related to 16 year old Jenny Rivera and 4 year old Sophia Rivera who were killed in the crash.

He is currently charged with failure to stop and render aid, but additional charges could be filed.
