
ENNIS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The city of Ennis has turned its downtown area into a bluebonnet haven for this weekend’s 65th Annual Bluebonnet Trails Festival. Vendors from all over will display their arts and crafts, along with children’s activities and live music. and it’s all centered around some of the most spectacular bluebonnet displays in the state. Gina Rokas with the Ennis Convention and Visitor’s Bureau says, for prime bluebonnet viewing, you can get a downloadable map to follow the trails at bluebonnettrail.org. Rokas adds this weekend the bluebonnets should be at peak bloom and this year the fields are also loaded with Indian paintbrush. The festival opens at 6pm Friday and runs through Sunday. Admission is free.
