IRVING (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Irving City Council tabled a vote on whether to limit the number of chickens and roosters a resident is allowed to have on their property.
The proposal would limit the number of hens based on how large the property is, and would potentially regulate the size of chicken coops.
Council has been hearing the issue since March after some complained about the nuisance of crowing roosters in residential areas.
The majority of council members said they wanted to continue researching chickens before cracking down with strict regulations.
