Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – 100 or so demonstrators marched in downtown Dallas Friday night, intending to complete the July 7 protest against police brutality. That march was thrown into chaos when a gunman opened fire on Dallas Police officers. The gunman killed five officers and wounded 7 others that night. Friday night’s march was peaceful, but tense. Especially when police brought in several squad cars, and warned the marchers to stay out of the street, or face arrest. The march ended with prayers in front of El Centro College where the five officers were killed three weeks ago. Organizers expressed some disappointment that the turnout wasn’t bigger, but some of the marchers told reporters they thought it was just too soon after the shootings.
