I think we would all agree that we don’t take enough time to “stop and smell the roses.”
I experienced a “warm fuzzy” over the weekend when I put up my new wind chimes for the season. I love being on the patio or even sitting in my den and hearing the clink, clink, clink as the wind blows through.
When we first put the hooks on the patio years ago it was so I could hang plants. It didn’t take long for me to realize I didn’t enjoy going outside and watering hanging baskets in 105 degree heat so the plants came down and the wind chimes went up.
Replacing them annually is a ritual because our violent spring storms rip them apart. As the months go on I will be picking up bells and beads from my back yard, but that’s okay.
So as you go about your day take some time and listen/look for the small things that can bring a smile to your face. Yours will probably be different from mine, but whatever it is I hope it brings you a few minutes of joy.
