IRVING (WBAP/KLIF News) – Police in Irving have issued an alert for consumers to take caution when using a debit card at ATMs and gas pumps.
A release on the department’s website warns about several instances where skimmer devices have been found.
The equipment steals credit card information.
Police urge consumers to check for any signs of tampering on machines, which could include a broken seal or added devices. They suggest using your ATM card as a credit card rather than a debit cart to protect your pin number.
