ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF News) Texas Rangers’ Prince Fielder made an emotional announcement yesterday that he’s permanently out of the game. Neck pain prompted him to undergo a spinal fusion surgery. Dr. Pablo Zeballos is a pain specialist at Spine Dallas and has a background in sports medicine. He said Fielder’s surgery will make it more difficult for him to turn his head and more susceptible to injury. Since Fielder did not voluntarily withdraw, he is still due the remainder of his $214M contract which runs through 2020.
