Dallas (WBAP-KLIF News) – Sunday is the 15th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks, and law enforcement is once again on its toes. So Lieutenant Lonnie Haschel with the Department of Public Safety says they have a new website and smartphone app for you to report stuff that just doesn’t seem right.
“It could be someone asking questions about security features of a building, of a landmark or something,” said Haschel. “It could be something left outside a structure. Cars, trucks left in No Parking zones. Something that just doesn’t look right.”
Haschel says it doesn’t take the place of calling 9-1-1. If you see an emergency or a crime going on, use 9-1-1, as always.
The website is iwatchtx.org, and the app is available for iPhone and Android. You can stay anonymous, but your tip will go straight to the DPS counter terrorism division in Austin.
