PLANO (WBAP/KLIF News) North Texas cosmetology schools are welcoming some students who woke up earlier this week and learned they had no class to go to. After 50 years in business, Regency Beauty Institute texted students Wednesday night, informing them there would be no more school. The move was effective immediately. Carmen Milot lives in Sachse and attended the Plano campus. She says she is working to have her credits and degree plan transfer to another institute. In a statement, Regency says the closing is due to declining enrollment and not having enough funds to continue operations. Students are supposed to have their personal items picked up by today.
