ABILENE (WBAP/KLIF News) – Two college football players at a private university in Abilene were arrested in connection with a murder in Fort Worth.
The U.S. Marshals arrested Ryan McBeth and Dontrell Dock on the McMurry University campus on Wednesday.
Police said they’re connected to the death of Chris-Dion Russell, 29, who was shot in the chest earlier this month at an apartment complex in southeast Fort Worth.
A third suspect, who is also a McMurry student, is still on the loose.
Both McBeth and Russell face capital murder charges and their names have been removed from the McMurry football team’s online roster.
