Irving (WBAP/KLIF) – Irving Police shot and killed a man Friday evening in a hotel along Highway 114 at Wingren Road. Officers were called to the Homewood Suites Hotel when hotel employees heard shots being fired in one of their guest rooms. Police say several shots were fired in that room while they were in the hallway trying to contact the man inside. Several officers fired at him when the door suddenly opened, and he came at them with a handgun. He was killed. No officers were injured. Detectives are investigating.
