Waxahachie (WBAP/KLIF) – Closing arguments are scheduled today in Kevin Coffey’s sexual assault trial. Coffey is the former Police Chief of Maypearl, an Ellis County town of about 900. He’s accused of sexual relationships with several teenaged girls. Coffey testified in his own defense Thursday, denying the accusations, and insisting he doesn’t know why the three who testified against him in court had done so.
