SEAGOVILLE (WBAP/KLIF News) A Texas bald eagle was born on live streaming video while the world still waits for a giraffe in New York to do the same. One of two eggs laid in January hatched yesterday in a nest in Seagoville high up in an electrical tower. The John Bunker Sands Wetland Center installed the webcam that allows the public to tune in to watch. The eagles at the center first nested in a different tower, and were at risk of being electrocuted. Three years ago, workers moved the nest to a replica tower a quarter-mile away where it was safer. The nest’s camera was damaged in the December 2015 tornadoes and a professional tree climber was hired to install a new one. The second and last egg is expected to hatch any day. You can watch here.
