(WBAP/KLIF News) Colleges are encouraging students to turn in their classmates who use offensive language. Colleges used to be the cradle of free speech, but now a dissenting opinion can get you a visit to your dorm room. Dr. John Huber is a professor at Texas State University and he says bias-response teams have been formed at hundreds of the nation’s universities. These teams investigate reports of allegations on the use of offensive speech. There’s no punishment but the questioning can be intrusive and discouraging.
