TEXAS (WBAP/KLIF News) State lawmakers are pushing to regulate powdered alcohol. Concerns about powdered alcohol have increased so much that 34 states have banned are considering banning it. The house licensing and administrative committee are considering two bills that would regulate the sale of it in Texas. If passed, Texas would become the first state to do so. According to the texas tribune, one bill would amend the definition of an alcoholic beverage to include powdered alcohol, ban it’s purchase and possession by minors and tax it the same way as traditional liquor. The bill would also give tabc the authority to regulate powdered alcohol.
