TROPHY CLUB (WBAP/KLIF News) – 27-year-old Katherine Ruth Harper is accused of having sex multiple times with a 15-year-old Byron Nelson High School student last summer.
The Northwest Independent School District said it received an anonymous tip in December, claiming that the pregnant Tiddle Middle School teacher was allegedly having an improper relationship with a student.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, investigators said the two would meet at her Fort Worth home and at his home in Trophy Club.
It also states that the two also exchanged naked pictures via cell phone. Phone records show the two communicated 76 times.
After a three-month investigation into the allegations, Harper was arrested on a second-degree felony charge of having an improper relationship between an educator and a student.
She was booked into the Denton County Jail and freed on a $15,000 bond.
The district said she’s on administrative leave.
