DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) It will soon be easier to fly to the west coast out of Dallas. Alaska Airlines is expanding its service to North Texas by adding routes from Love Field airport. The carrier currently flies in and out of DFW Airport, and it will keep that service. As part of the deal, Virgin America’s Dallas-Las Vegas service will end in August. Southwest currently monopolizes Love Field, occupying 18 out of its 20 gates. Alaska Airlines’ service to Seattle and Portland starts in August, with routes to San Diego and San Jose starting in February.
