(WBAP/KLIF News) Bill O’Reilly’s career at Fox News is over. The Murdoch family has decided to cancel “The O’Reilly Factor” and has already announced a replacement for the time slot: Tucker Carlson. The move comes after a number of sexual harassment claims made against the conservative host. Robert Thompson is the Director of the Bleier Center for TV and Pop Culture at Syracuse University in New York. He says Fox News has loyal viewers and ratings may not take that big of a hit due to O’Reilly’s termination. There are other hurdles, however. Dozens of advertisers had already pulled out of the show after the allegations surfaced. O’Reilly, whose run extends 21 years, has repeatedly denied claims of any wrongdoing.
