Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – American Airlines announced Thursday morning that Qatar Airlines is trying to buy ten percent of the Fort Worth based company. Qatar reportedly has earmarked $800 million for the unsolicited purchase. American is one of a group of U.S. airlines that have accused airlines in the middle east of unfairly using massive government subsidies to become global forces in the airline industry.
