FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF News) – The National Soccer Hall of Fame will open it’s new stadium doors in Frisco next October during the 2018 National Soccer Hall of Fame Weekend.
The weekend will kick off with the induction ceremony when the newest members of the Hall of Fame will take their place among soccer’s elite.
Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney said this will provide a major boost to the city’s economy.
“What we’ve heard is that it’s going to bring as many as 400,000 people to our community within the first year. That’s just such a great economic driver for our community. It helps our restaurants. It helps our businesses here. It really leads to an incredible economic impact here,” he said.
The National Soccer Hall of Fame induction class will be announced next March.
