(WBAP/KLIF) – The Latino Center for Leadership Development says Donald Trump missed an opportunity to gain Hispanic voters.
The group’s Rebecca Acuna says Republican President George W. Bush had forty percent of their vote. She says Trump’s rhetoric about Mexicans being criminals and kicking the “bad hombres” out struck a chord with Latino voters.
“For someone who is trying to make a very informed decision based on policy, based on the economy, based on healthcare, based on schools, that really turns us away,” said Acuna.
She says that is why a large number of North Texas Latino’s are voting for Hillary Clinton in addition to her campaign’s outreach to their community.
