DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Nina Pham has settled her lawsuit against Texas Health Resources nearly two years after contracting the Ebola virus while caring for the first Ebola patient diagnosed in the United States.
In a joint statement representing both Pham and Texas Health Resources, both parties will not be speaking to the media and have agreed the terms of the resolution will remain confidential. The statement also says each wishes the best for the other.
Pham sued Texas Health Resources after contracting Ebola while caring for Thomas Eric Duncan who later died.
Another nurse, Amber Vinson, also contracted the virus and survived.
Pham claimed in her lawsuit that Dallas Presbyterian Hospital was not prepared and that the hospital violated her privacy by releasing information about her condition.
